5/31/2023 0 Comments The Power of Now by Eckhart TolleThat night he awakened from his sleep, suffering from feelings of depression that were "almost unbearable," but then experienced a life-changing epiphany. One night in 1977, at the age of 29, after having suffered from long periods of depression, Tolle says he experienced an "inner transformation". After attending the University of London, he enrolled in a postgraduate program at the University of Cambridge in 1977. When he was 19, Tolle moved to England and taught German and Spanish for three years at a London language school. At 15, he was "heavily influenced" by a gift of the five spiritual books by the German mystic Joseph Anton Schneiderfranken. In 1961 he moved to Spain to live with his father, where he "refused all forms of formal education between the ages of 13 and 22, preferring instead to pursue his own creative and philosophical interests". Ulrich Leonard Tölle was born in Lünen, a small town north of Dortmund in the Ruhr region of Germany in 1948. His books include The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment (1997), A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose (2005) and the picture book Guardians of Being (2009). Eckhart Tolle ( / ˈ ɛ k ɑːr t ˈ t ɒ l ə/ EK-art TOL-ə German: born Ulrich Leonard Tölle, February 16, 1948) is a German-born spiritual teacher and self-help author.

5/31/2023 0 Comments Felidae by Ciarra SimsThey were huge on her but they would work for the purpose she required. She found a pair of white overalls, greasy but of thick canvas and stepped into them, zipping them protectively. Would her jeans alone offer enough protection? Tabitha was taking no chances and raced back to the room in the back of the garage basement where various electrical boxes and controls were housed. Sitting where Brenton had sat was definitely touch and go. Likewise, she couldn’t chance her arms accidentally touching the steering column or resting anywhere Brenton had touched casually, marking the territory and making it a sex trap for Tabitha. And Brenton’s ass had been firmly planted in them plenty of times. The black leather seats were soft and buttery, made for comfort. Tabitha had no problem finding it in the garage under the hotel and she gingerly pressed the key ring and unlocked the door with a beep. She found a pair of latex ones in the supply closet off the hall of the penthouse. 5/31/2023 0 Comments D day alan gratzThis unit will cover core content standards such as: comprehension, summarization, characterization, vocabulary building, inquiry, and reflection. Organized in 1969 and active until the opening of the first legal abortion clinics in 1973, Jane initially counseled women and referred them to abortion providers who set prices and conditions. The Story of Jane recounts the evolution of the Abortion Counseling Service, code name Jane, the underground group of heroic women that provided low-cost abortion services in Chicago in the years before the procedure was legalized. Also the subject of the acclaimed HBO documentary The Janes. A compelling testament to a woman's most essential freedom-control over her own body-and to the power of women helping women. The powerful story of the women who founded and ran the legendary Chicago reproductive rights organization Abortion Counseling Service, otherwise known as Jane, written by one of its members. |
